The Denver Art Museum had the distinct pleasure of working with Starkey Productions/Pro Entertainment on ten (10) preview events for the opening of the Frederic C. Hamilton Building at the DAM. As you might imagine, all eyes were on the museum during the weeks leading up to the public opening of the expanded museum complex on October 7, 2006.
This was especially true for two of the events that Pro Entertainment worked on with us, the Denver Art Museum Grand Opening Gala and Hot DAM: Party on the Edge.
Initially Pro Entertainment was hired as a consultant for only one opening event but their sound advice, creative ideas, knowledge of the entertainment industry, and collaborative work style were so effective that we hired them for a whole suite of events.
For the Grand Opening Gala, a 750-guest black-tie event that was the talk of the town, Pro Entertainment booked music for both the cocktail portion of the evening and the after dinner dance band. Additionally they managed the national act that provided dinner entertainment, k.d. lang. Pro Entertainment handled the contract, riders, road crew, and other logistics without a hitch. They also finessed k.d. lang and her crew to allow a high-level donor to come backstage to meet k.d. lang after the performance. Our guests gave us rave reviews on the evening’s entertainment.
Hot DAM: Party on the Edge was a museum-wide event that hosted 3,000 guests. Again, Pro Entertainment booked all entertainers that evening which included many different styles from African drummers to strolling mandolins to living statues and more. They also handled contract, logistics, etc. for the headliner, Big Head Todd & The Monsters.
Pro Entertainment has great ideas for how to make an event special. On event day everything runs smoothly, due in large part to the solid planning that goes into Pro Entertainment’s events.
Pro Entertainment is at the top of their profession. The Denver Art Museum continues to hire them for our entertainment needs. We recommend them without reservation. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at 720-913-0034.

First off I can't tell you how great of a job the 3 Chefs did for our user conference. It was a wonderful show, everyone enjoyed it very much. Everything was professionally done, the entertainers were courteous and the performance was superb. We will keep you all in mind, along with the group, for future events.

Awesome, a home run, Best Yet, where just some of the common comments I heard from attendees at the conference. I would say they were even better than I expected. Not only are they great talents but professional and personable all at the same time. I would highly recommend them.
We will need something just as fantastic or even better for next year conference about the same time line but in San Francisco if you any recommendations I wouldn’t mind working with you again.

Just a quick note as we're running around getting ready for the honeymoon to say THANK YOU for a wonderful evening on Saturday! Heartbeat is the BEST! The music was wonderful--so upbeat, so fun; such talented musicians! And the songs really worked for every single person, from age 4 to age 93 (literally!). Seriously, the best! Our fanciest guests who fly bands in from New York and California for their events all said they would absolutely fly you anywhere! I hope they do, and that I get to dance to Heartbeat again!

I’ve been meaning to write to confirm that you received payment from BIAC, and to tell you what a fabulous performance Night Beat put on at our conference.
We have an unusual mix of attendees- medical, rehabilitation and social work professionals, individuals who have sustained brain injuries and have various and diverse abilities/disabilities, and family members. So, we’ve had difficulty in the past finding entertainment that was enjoyable for everyone. In fact, we didn’t even set up a dance floor this year- expecting, from past experience, that the music would just add a merry touch to an otherwise low-key reception. But thanks to Night Beat, the usually subdued event turned into a wonderfully festive affair.
Eli worked his usual magic- immediately warming up the room with his smile, stage presence, energy and tremendous talent! He and the band sounded so great that the guests couldn’t help themselves and started dancing wherever there was space. We quickly moved out some tables, and pretty soon the dance floor was rockin’. At the height of the evening, a Love Train wound around the room- including professionals and their clients, people using wheelchairs and canes, new acquaintances and old friends- and ended with the crowd surrounding Eli, who was boogying and singing up a storm. It was a truly heartwarming celebration of survival!
The members of Night Beat are wonderfully skilled and professional musicians, and Eli is world class performer. Thank you for discounting their usual (much deserved) fee, to allow a small non-profit like BIAC to bring such joy to our clients. Your generosity was sincerely appreciated, and we will certainly patronize and refer Starkey Productions and Pro Entertainment in the future!

thanks so very much for the outstanding performance at our
daughter's wedding last Saturday evening at Red Sky Ranch!!!!! Everyone
LOVED the music and had such fun dancing - lots of comments about how packed
the dance floor was all evening and how the band members seemed to love

I thought I would reiterate how well I thought everything went Saturday night. Courtney was great—so much help, as was Pete (I think that was his name—small, young guy, very helpful). Gary turned out to be much better in person. The Margarita Brothers were wonderful! Their sound, songs & personalities were just what we needed. All thumbs up from our folks, although we should have put the café tables on the dance floor, because I guess we’re just not ever going to be dancing people. We had a really nice turnout, so I guess for our guys it really is all about location. Thanks for everything!
